Cookie Policy

1. What This Policy Covers

This Cookie Policy explains how OnSight uses cookies, local storage, session storage, SDK storage, pixels, scripts, and similar technologies across our website, admin dashboard, mobile app, and related services.

Some technologies are set by OnSight. Others are set by service providers that help us run authentication, security, maps, payments, analytics, observability, support, and anti-abuse workflows.

2. Strictly Necessary Technologies

These are required for the platform to work securely and reliably.

  • Authentication tokens and session state used to keep signed-in users authenticated.
  • Security state used for MFA, password reset, email verification, admin invitations, CSRF-style protection, and abuse prevention.
  • Role, permission, subscription, and feature-limit checks required to display the right product experience.
  • Rate-limiting, request metadata, and hCaptcha verification data used to protect demo, contact, login, registration, and resend-verification workflows.
  • Load balancing, CDN, infrastructure, and security cookies or logs from providers such as Cloudflare, Vercel, and hosting infrastructure.

3. Preference and Functional Technologies

We use preference storage to remember product choices and reduce repeated setup work.

  • Theme preference, such as light or dark mode.
  • Dashboard, onboarding, tour, and interface preferences.
  • Currency display preference, such as NGN or USD pricing where available.
  • Mobile app preferences related to biometric login, background location prompts, and local app configuration.

4. Analytics, Diagnostics, and Performance

We use diagnostics and observability tools to understand product reliability, errors, latency, and usage patterns. These tools may collect IP address, browser, device type, operating system, route, timing, logs, crash reports, and similar technical metadata.

  • Sentry for error monitoring and crash diagnostics.
  • New Relic for backend performance, logs, traces, and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Analytics tools, if enabled, to understand website and product usage trends.

5. Maps, Geocoding, Payments, and Embedded Services

Some features rely on third-party services that may set their own cookies or use similar technologies when loaded in your browser.

  • Mapbox for map rendering, live workforce maps, and geofence visualization.
  • Google Maps or Places for geocoding, address validation, and location search where configured.
  • Paystack for checkout, subscription, payment, and billing workflows.
  • hCaptcha for bot prevention and form abuse protection.

6. Managing Cookies and Storage

Most browsers allow you to block, delete, or limit cookies and site storage. Mobile operating systems also provide controls for app permissions, tracking, location, and notification settings.

Blocking strictly necessary storage may prevent login, dashboard access, checkout, security verification, maps, or form submission from working correctly.

7. Retention

Session technologies may expire when you close your browser or sign out. Persistent technologies remain until they expire, are replaced, or are removed by you or OnSight. Security, audit, and diagnostic logs may be retained separately according to our Privacy Policy, customer agreements, legal obligations, and operational needs.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as OnSight and our service providers change. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and provide notice where appropriate.
